I live...fell off the wagon -- Team Bj

So it will likely be my turn to issue a long apology before the next Bulls Deep as I fell off the wagon with it in the last couple weeks...we were set to record with the Return of Kevin and the talk of the Big Lebowski and Billy and said Kevin trying to convince me of its awesomeness....but work through a wrench in it with coverage of a local athlete in the Olympics...if it's not Death Luge or downhill ski-crashing I am really not that interested but work called and so I was compelled to answer the gong....so I go to this local watch party for the guy and wait....and wait.....and wait....until we are told he is not racing that night due to some schedule rotation or something....yeah...nice.....was to reschedule with Billy and Kevin but that didn't come off so the Bulls Deep airwaves were silent last week which fucked with our regular listeners so I apologize to them for not even posting a best of type thing or something to fill in that spot....but I hope to get back on track soon and be speeding away on the podcasting train as we were...hopefully Team Billy is able to get to the Huddle Nuptuals for some on-scene Bulls Deepery....

In other news....taurianfilms.com will be available soon I had registered it a year ago and then had some snafus with homestead.com where I lost the site but of course still had the name registered and didn't want to pay a fee to have it transfered. So I am just waiting it out and then I will get it...same thing with taurian-films.com...

Mason will be home around spring break so I have to find out when that is exactly and knock out Insourcing. I am planning on re-editing the shows I did before on my desktop with adobe premiere and after effects.

Working on that now as I have a new comp with lots of storage space and a lot more memory with which to get things done so I am eager to see how rendering time is cut down.

Team Bj is alive!!!!

...the highly anticipated sequel to the greatest podcast in the history of Bulls Deep....6B is coming soon....Wednesday we record with Aprill Brandon, soon to be Aprill Huddle...and yeah, it's gonna be good....

On the Insourcing front I am seeing when Mason can get on the road back up this way to get more shooting done. I still anticipate us being two shoots away from having all the footage done which, contrary to what Billy thinks, will be before labor day, independence day, thanksgiving and/or Christmas.

I am ready to move on with this project and get it out there...I tested the funny on another co-worker with the sneak peek on youtube and they chuckled at the right spots and were eager to see more, which is encouraging.

Work continues.

Total eclipse of the Honkey -- A Team Billy post

And so it came to pass that the Bulls Deep crew held it's first (hopefully annual) Almost-MLK-Day-Blacktacular. A good time was had by all and jive turkeys were not tolerated.

Most ironically on that day, the only physically black person missed out on most of the festivities. Yes, Team Bj got stuck at work firmly under the thumb of the man. As such, he missed Black Devil Doll. This was shameful because this movie played out kind of like a glorified autobiography of Team Bj. Much like Black Devil Doll, Team Bj is a little on the short side, is all about black power and loves having sex with dead white chicks. Ha ha, just kidding y'all. Bj isn't really that big into Black Power.

He did make it to the special midnight showing of Black Dynamite at the lovely Inwood Theater in Dallas. I am officially naming Black Dynamite as the greatest movie of all-time for 2010. Even though I'm not black, never had a brother, never fought in Vietnam, never loved up five women at once and do not know kung fu, I can't help but see my life story in that movie.

The New Year -- A Team Billy post

2009 was the Year of the Ox, but Y2KX is the Year of the Bull. Bulls Deep that is.

This whole Taurian Films thing was little more than an abstract concept until the waning months of 2009. Insourcing started filming and the podcast was launched, making this oddly named thing of Bj's a reality. But it's about to get a whole lot more real in Y2KX. Insourcing will finally and/or hopefully get finished and unleashed upon the world. New projects will be started and the podcast will continue to grow and evolve.

Yes ladies and gents, Y2KX will be the Deepenese word for validation.

The Quest for Swag -- A Team Billy post

One of the biggest and first fans of the Bulls Deep podcast sent in a rough proposal for Official Bulls Deep t-shirts supporting both Team Billy and Team Bj. They look great and really need to be made. This got me thinking about other ways to slap the Taurian Films logo on other things.

Sad fact of life: Doing stuff costs money. We've been lucky in the ways of moochery so far. Our actors work for free, the camera and editing software have been lent to us free of charge and the set for Insourcing is the site of Bj's day job. The podcast is very similar. We talk via Skype, which is free and the editing software is part of the above-mentioned software we're using through the kindness of others.

But there are expenses at play. We'd like to get some extra storage capacity to hold the Insourcing footage (bad form to fill up work issued laptops with such buffoonery) and there is the matter of raising the profile of the podcast.

Team Bj and Team Billy have been working on scams and angles to snag a buck here and there, but had not considered Bulls Deep gear until Wendy's email popped up in out feedback box (taurianfilms@gmail.com). It seems so obvious now. I plan on doing some research on how to get this stuff done on the cheap so we can keep prices low and still swing some profit (I'm so looking at you little Indonesian children)
